To Begin Again

To begin again in slightly less grand surrouds, a whole new perspective is required. Visions! Plans! Concepts! So many square shapes! There was one particular thing I wanted to do first though: reclaim the focal point from that black box of dead spiny plant.
Take that, unattractive member of nature!

With this kind of stocky back garden, I had a strong compulsion to create spaces that were a little less symmetrical. Huey Lewis was wrong. It's definitely not hip to be square.

The herbs carrying the battle scars of the big move: lemongrass, thyme, mint, garlic, coriander, parsley battling on. They only one among them to have thrived is the sorrel. Sturdy little sorrel.

Gather round the rambunctious little succulents!

A desolate looking winter tree, in need of trinkets. I listened with glee when the neighbour told me I'd have bucket loads of nectarines by christmas!
